I didn't watch the Tonight show often but Jay sure has good taste in cars. Any chance Jay Leno's Garage or something similar becomes a real tv show? I tried doing some searching but the internet is flooded right now with stories about his last night on the Tonight show.

I always thought it would eventually become an NBC show, but I'm doubting it after how little interest they showed in launching Top Gear US a few years back. But, there are alot of rumours of Jay being in contact with CNN about doing some sort of project. If you watch some of CNN's other shows like Anthony Bourdain's, Jay garage actually fits in pretty nicely. So if it happens anywhere, I'm predicting it will be on CNN.

Didn't they ask him to be on the US Top Gear and he said no?
If he was on CNN, I would have to be skeptical of all factual statements made until confirmed by at least 2 other news sources

Same here. I still can't believe CNN has such a good show. I'd be willing to bet Bourdain watches top gear, the whole show just has a top gear vibe. Which is even more interesting when you step back and realize CNN appears to be branching out into a bbc-like network. With news and good documentary shows.

I have to admit it's been a while since I last watched the CNN. But I've noticed a lot of good stuff coming from them.
But I still watch Bourdain, but from... other sources.

I wouldnt mind seeing him rip off Seinnfelds idea, doing a CCGC type thing. Maybe focus on the car a BIT more than Jerry does?? Instead of comedians, open it up to any celebrity. The guy has ZILLIONS of dollars already, his next project will not be about the money.

My understanding was that he pitched the idea of Top Gear US and Nbc said no. I read something about it in an interview years back.
